Hello! I trust you are doing AMAZING! And I pray you are growing in endurance and in faith as you continue to run the race in the power of the Spirit of God...YEAH BABY!

I wanted to share a VERY IMPORTANT update with you concerning my family and me. Almost 2 years ago, in Sept 07, I began experiencing a small amount of breathing trouble when I sang. After 4-5 months, the condition worsened, so I went to the doctor. They did 5 major lung tests and 2 major heart tests, all of which came out negative (which is positive LOL). They said I was healthy as a horse...

Even so, I knew something was still wrong. So I continued to search for answers, which led me to make some serious changes in my eating habits as well as some other things. With each passing day, I prayed more and sought the Lord more. Along the way, I also started feeling God beginning to transition us in some way, so we continued to pray...

The best way to describe my physical struggle is to think of a professional runner trying to run a marathon with 10 lb weights on his wrists and ankles. He can still do it, but it takes MUCH MORE energy, and he wears out MUCH MORE quickly. Honestly, as things have worsened, I have sometimes begun to dread doing the very thing I love and am gifted and anointed to do!

About 4 weeks ago, after a tough weekend of ministry, I told Martha I felt I desperately needed to do something. It takes so much energy to sing that it feels sometimes like my heart might explode. I told her if I kept pushing myself like this, I could run the risk of seriously hurting my body and possibly hurting my family and friends in the process.

AND SO, with much prayer and council, I have made the decision to take a 4 month sabbatical starting Sept 1. I have canceled all my dates this fall (which is a BIG deal), in order to rest and seek the Lord for healing and for the direction he wants us to go. I believe God has some important things he is preparing us for, and I need to be healed and to have so that we're 100% able to do whatever, go wherever, without any questions.

THERE ARE 2 IMPORTANT WAYS YOU CAN HELP US:
1. PRAY - for my complete healing. I believe God has said I will sing with greater capacity once I'm healed and delivered! Pray for direction as I put out feelers to possibly take on the role of primary worship leader at a church somewhere in the USA (along with possibly heading up or helping with a school of music/worship).

2. GIVE - as I mentioned, we have canceled all my dates this fall to rest and to keep me from hurting my body any further. This is a VERY challenging/exciting season in our lives (as it is for many), but I believe if we quiet ourselves to hear God's voice, we will find that he is speaking; and what he is speaking is going give us the answers we need to reach those in this nation and around the world who so desperately need Jesus!
